Jamaat-e-Islami to Hold Protests at Hundreds of Locations in Karachi Against Israeli Aggression

Karachi: In the wake of Israel’s ongoing aggression in Gaza, including bombings in residential areas, schools, and hospitals, and genocide of Palestinian Muslims, Jamaat-e-Islami has announced protests at over 100 locations across Karachi on February 23rd to express solidarity with the people of Gaza and the Palestinian resistance fighters.

The protests will be held at prominent public places in the city, where Jamaat-e-Islami’s district leaders and local officials will address the demonstrators. The protesters will raise banners and placards, expressing solidarity with the people of Gaza and Palestinian Muslims while condemning Israel and other countries supporting Israel’s hegemony, including the United States and Britain.

The ongoing genocide and relentless bombings by Israel for over four months have turned Gaza into a pile of rubble, leaving no house or building including hospitals and schools unaffected by the attacks.

According to the International laws of war, attacks on residential areas, schools, and hospitals are strictly prohibited. However, Israel is violating not only the laws of war but also committing serious war crimes. So far, nearly 30,000 Palestinians, including women, children, and the elderly, have been martyred in Israeli attacks while around 70,000 Palestinians have been injured.
