Gaza: In the ongoing relentless attacks by Israeli occupying forces in the Gaza Strip, at least 107 Palestinians were martyred and 143 injured in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of Palestinian martyrs to 27,597 and the injured to 66,978.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that during the past 24 hours of relentless Israeli attacks, 107 more Palestinians were martyred and 143 were injured. Due to intense bombings and a shortage of civilian defense and ambulance crews, some victims are trapped under rubble.
According to media reports, Israeli forces bombed a residential area and destroyed a building near Nasser Hospital in the southern Gaza city of Khan Yunis. In Rafah 11 Palestinians were reportedly killed including a journalist and his mother due to Israeli shelling.
It should be noted that Hamas has responded to the approved proposals of Qatar and Egypt for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of prisoners. Qatar’s Prime Minister and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken have confirmed Hamas’ response regarding the framework of the agreement.
During a joint press conference with the Qatari Prime Minister in Doha, Blinken stated that they are assessing Hamas’ response and there will be an exchange of views with Israeli authorities regarding Hamas’ response today. Much work remains, but a deal is possible.
Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani expressed hope upon Hamas’ response terming it ‘positive’.
Hamas stated that the proposals of the agreement include ending the siege on Gaza, ending Israeli aggression against our people, and ensuring relief, shelter, and reconstruction efforts.
