Karachi: With the onset of winter, the gas crisis has intensified in Pakistan. In several cities, gas pressure is low, equivalent to having no gas at all. As a result, people are compelled to buy firewood and expensive gas cylinders.
According to media reports, as winters begin, along with electricity issues, the gas shortage has also intensified. The public is also struggling to afford firewood and expensive gas cylinders for cooking.
Citizens expressed that the caretaker government is only concerned about managing its own salaries, rather than providing relief to the public. They complained that sometimes electricity becomes expensive, and now there is an increase in gas prices.
Citizens urged the government to take practical steps to provide facilities to the people. They said in this period of brutal inflation, even affording a basic meal has become challenging. Previously, when women used to stay at home, they managed the cooking, but now due to inflation, women are also working, and when they come home in the evening, there is no gas, causing a lot of difficulties.
