Islamabad: The caretaker federal cabinet has granted approval for a $10 billion investment from Kuwait in Pakistan, paving the way for investment in seven different projects by Kuwait.
According to news agencies, the meeting of caretaker the federal cabinet, chaired by caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar, approved seven memorandum of understanding (MoUs) related to investment between Pakistan and Kuwait. The MoUs will be signed during the upcoming visit of the Prime Minister to Kuwait.
As a result of the efforts of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, Kuwait is set to invest $10 billion in various sectors across seven projects in Pakistan. The investment will cover the expansion of water reservoirs, facilities for mining, conservation and expansion of mangrove forests for coastal regions, as well as projects in the IT sector and initiatives for the protection and enhancement of food resources.
