Karachi: Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, has emphasized that the promotion of local products is indispensable for Pakistan’s economic development. He stated that boycotting Zionist and imperialist products can strengthen the country’s economy. While acknowledging the inability of people to help Gaza directly, he suggested that boycotting Israeli products can impact their economy.
Addressing a seminar organized under the collaboration of Jamaat-e-Islami and the Pakistan Business Forum at Idara Noor-e-Haq to promote Pakistani local products, Hafiz Naeem ul Rehman expressed that Palestinian Muslims are standing steadfast against the Israelis and are not willing to leave Palestine. He asserted that we too will confront the elite class and Western capitalists within the country, compelling them to flee.
He mentioned that as a result of the resistance of Hamas freedom fighters, a truce has been achieved, and Hamas has gained several concessions. He stated that the world has divided into rulers and the ruled, and the events of October 7 are changing the course of history and Muslims now have the chance to lead.
“Muslims around the world are cautiously buying products, ensuring that it does not benefit Zionist Israel”, he added.
The Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi called upon the Pakistan Business Forum and local traders and industrialists to collaborate and cooperate with each other with enthusiasm for the cause and collective benefit. Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman further stated that if the government creates obstacles in promoting any product, Jamaat-e-Islami will provide full support to the local traders and industrialists to challenge it.
