Over 800,000 Children Homeless in Gaza Due to Israeli Aggression

New York: The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has stated that more than 800,000 children in Gaza are now homeless due to Israeli attacks.

According to UNICEF spokesperson Toby Fricker, the Israeli airstrikes on Gaza have left over 800,000 children without homes, and they are facing extremely difficult conditions in refugee shelters with very limited capacity.

According to UNICEF, there are currently 340,000 children under the age of 5 in Gaza, and they are the most affected by severe food shortages. UNICEF has called for a ceasefire to ensure the protection and assistance of children in Gaza, urging for a humanitarian truce to allow aid organizations to operate in the region.

It is worth noting that Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement for a 4-day truce in the fight. As part of the deal, in exchange for 150 Palestinians imprisoned in Israel, 50 Israeli hostages in Gaza will be released, and humanitarian aid will be permitted to enter Gaza.
