Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that Israeli bombardment on Gaza and the massacre of Palestinians must come to an end.
In an interview, the French President condemned the attacks on Israel by Hamas, stating that while Israel has the right to self-defense, there is no justification for Israeli bombing on civilian populations in Gaza.
President Macron expressed the urgency for Israel to halt the bombing in Gaza, highlighting that children, women, and the elderly are being targeted in the attacks. He emphasized that it is Israel who will benefit from the ceasefire.
He mentioned that all the participating partners in the humanitarian aid conference held in Paris had a clear stance regarding assistance from humanitarian foundations, indicating that there is no other solution but to cease hostilities based on humanitarian compassion to ensure the protection of all citizens.
On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the French President’s interview, stating that the crimes committed by the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas could happen anywhere, including Paris, New York, or anywhere else in the world.
It’s noteworthy that the number of Palestinian martyrs in the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza and other occupied territories has surpassed 11,000 since October 7, with a significant number being women and children.
