Religious Scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil’s Son Passes Away from Gunshot Wound

Mian Channu: Asim Jamil, the son of renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil, tragically lost his life after being shot in the chest.

According to media reports, DSP Mian Channu has stated that Asim Jamil committed suicide by shooting himself in the chest. He was rushed to the Talamba Rural Health Center in critical condition but could not be saved.

Tariq Jamil’s other son, Yousaf Jamil, stated in a video message that Asim Jamil had been suffering from depression for many years, and in the last 6 months his depression had worsened. He revealed that Asim Jamil did not have enmity with anyone and was not murdered but had committed suicide after shooting himself in the chest with a gun he had taken from the guard.

Punjab Inspector General of Police, Dr. Inam Ghani, has taken notice of the incident and requested a report from the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan. Further investigations have been ordered.

On the other hand, Maulana Tariq Jamil expressed his grief through a tweet on social media, stating that his son, Asim Jamil, had passed away in Talamba today. He urged everyone to remember his son in their prayers during this time of grief.
