Karachi: The series of electricity becoming more expensive for the residents of the city of Quaid is not coming to a halt. Following this, a request has now been made to further increase the electricity cost in a single quarterly adjustment for consumers in Karachi.
According to private TV reports, the public hearing on increasing the price of electricity for Karachi in a single quarterly adjustment has concluded, in which NEPRA has requested K-Electric, the company responsible for supplying electricity to Karachi, to make an additional increase of 3.02 rupees per unit for electricity consumers.
It should be noted that K-Electric has made this request for the April to June 2023 quarterly adjustment. In this regard, the NEPRA authorities say that when K-Electric presents its position to the regulatory authority, then it will lead to further deliberations.
