Riyadh: Israel’s Minister of Tourism, Haim Katz, has arrived in Saudi Arabia to participate in a United Nations conference. This marks the first official public visit to Saudi Arabia by any Israeli minister.
According to international media reports, Minister Haim Katz’s visit to Saudi Arabia makes him the first Israeli minister to undertake such an official tour. The significance of this trip is heightened due to the potential normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.
Minister Haim Katz has joined a delegation to participate in a program organized by the United Nations’ global tourism organization. Israel is promoting this visit as a step forward in diplomatic relations.
On this occasion, Israeli Minister of Tourism Haim Katz stated that tourism is a bridge between nations that connects hearts and has the potential for economic growth. He expressed his commitment to working with Saudi Arabia to enhance cooperation in tourism and advance Israel’s foreign relations.
However, the Saudi government has not immediately confirmed or denied approval of this Israeli minister’s visit. On the other hand, last year, Saudi Arabia’s first ambassador appointed for the Palestinian Authority presented his diplomatic credentials to President Mahmoud Abbas on Wednesday.
