Egyptian Government Imposes Ban on Wearing Niqab in Schools

Cairo: The Egyptian government has imposed a ban on wearing Niqab in educational institutions.

According to international news agencies, the Ministry of Education has announced that female students in educational institutions are allowed to wear the headscarf, but they will not be permitted to wear face-covering veils.

Authorities have declared that the enforcement of the ban on face veils in schools will begin on the 30th of the current month, and strict measures have been issued for its implementation.

The Egyptian Minister of Education has stated that female students are free to wear scarves if they choose, but it should be their own choice. Parents are also advised not to force students who object to wearing scarves and to respect their preferences.
