Copenhagen: After the desecration of the Quran in Sweden, a blasphemous act of burning the Quran has been committed in Denmark.
According to news agencies, two individuals belonging to an extremist group outside the Iraqi embassy in Copenhagen, Denmark, set fire to a copy of the Holy Quran.
Two extremists belonging to the “Danish Patriots” group, known for their extreme right-wing views, first desecrated the Holy Quran and then set it on fire near the Iraqi flag. After the incident, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry has demanded the European Union members to reconsider allowing such acts of provocation that hide behind the pretext of freedom.
It should be noted that there have been several incidents of Quran burning in Denmark before, but the local authorities have not taken any significant actions in response to these occurrences.
