Finland: A passenger ship, which is five times larger than the iconic Titanic that held the title of the world’s largest ship in the past, is now ready for its voyage. According to international news agencies, the world’s largest passenger ship, capable of accommodating 5,610 travelers, is almost fully prepared. It is being hailed as the world’s widest and biggest cruise ship.
Named “Icon of the Seas,” the ship is undergoing rigorous testing in open seas, after which it will be handed over to the company officially in October. After completing all stages of testing, it is expected to receive approval for passenger travel in January 2024.
The 250,800-ton and 1,200-foot-long cruise ship has been tested extensively in seas stretching hundreds of miles. Its engines, brakes, noise reduction systems, stability, and steering are being thoroughly examined. The entire team is focused on ensuring its safety.
It features a water park, recreational facilities, and seven enticing swimming pools. However, what makes it truly exceptional is its crew, numbering 2,350, an unusually high figure. This is the reason it has earned the distinction of being the world’s largest passenger ship.
