TURBAT: Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Nawaz Shareef inaugurated N-85 Surab-Hoshab Road a project linked to CPEC in Turbat (Balochistan) on Wednesday.
The road is as long as 448 kilometer which is also the most important part of Western Corridor of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The project will cost 22 billion rupees to link Gwader Port with Pakistan’s National Highway Network.
Surab-Hoshab Road will also provide the shortest link to Afghanistan and Central Asian Republics.
The 448 km road will be composed of 16 bridges and 1,502 culverts.
The projects links National Highway network with Gwader Port near Surab, Quetta and other parts of the country.
It will also serve the shortest link to Afghanistan and other Central Asian countrie with Gwader Port.
By the completion of the project, the vital North-South road connectivity will have been completed.
in the inauguration ceremony the prime minister announced the construction of Hoshab-Avaran-Lasbela road, to be jointly financed by the Federal and the Provincial Governments.
The Prime Minister said his Government is pursuing the path of economic development while its opponents are only indulging in negative politics. “He said people of Pakistan would make a decision on the basis of actual work in 2018 general elections”, he added.
