ISLAMABAD: Islmabad has strongly condemned the killing of college student Javed Mir in Badgam district of held Kashmir by Indian occupation forces.
“We condemn Indian occupation forces’ genocide, crimes against humanity and blatant violations of human rights of Kashmiris in the Indian-occupied Kashmir,” says a statement by Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakariya.
“The unarmed and part of no protest, 22-year-old Javed was a sole breadwinner of his family. Our heartfelt condolences to the family of Javed Mir shaheed,” he said.
“More than 150 have been martyred, hundreds blinded by pellet guns and thousands are injured in the occupied Kashmir since July 8… This must stop”
“Hurriyat leaders Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq remain in illegal detention & so does Kashmiri woman leader Asiya Andrabi. This is highly deplorable”
“We also deplore Indian forces torturous treatment of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, reportedly in critical condition in ICU,” he added.
