Sarfraz to lead Sindh in Pakistan One Day Cup

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board is set to launch new pentangular domestic One Day tournament named ‘Pakistan Cup’ commencing from April 19 in Faisalabad.

Pakistan Cup will include teams from the country’s four provinces and a Federal Capital side, PCB announced on Monday.

Sarfraz Ahmed, Shoaib Malik, Younis Khan, Azhar Ali and Misbah-Ul-Haq will lead the sides from Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Federal Capital respectively.

The teams will be selected by the captain and the coach through a draft which will consist of 150 players.

Each team will be able to select a squad of 15.

The draft process was also adopted during the teams’ selection for the Pakistan Super League which was held earlier this year.
