WASHINGTON: Apple, Google, Microsoft and Amazon have come together in a joint legal brief supporting the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Power Plan following a challenge by 29 states in the United States.
White House and EPA are at a crucial point the in the court due to a challenge case against their carbon dioxide emissions reduction plan.
Sillicon Valley Giants have taken the stance that the regulation would help boost the business and is a realistic measure for an important problem.
Giants added that they’ve done efforts at their organisations to shift to clean power under the Clean Power Plan. They said that electricity can be purchased from eco-friendly providers and facilities can be founded.
Critics however believe that it is easier for the big giants to come forward and extend their support because they are the big names with enough funds to switch to emissions free energy however small business would not be able to do so easily.
