LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Team manager Intikhaba Alam’s report for WT20 defeat has been leaked in media in which he has stated blamed T20 skipper Shahid Afridi for team’s dismal performance.
Intikhab wrote in his report that he failed to find any evidence of grouping in the team, and said these rumours were released from within the team.
Alam in his report, criticised Afrid’s infield decisions during India match and questioned his pitch-reading and right field placing skills.
He went on state that Mohamma Amir was the only match winner in Pakistan team but he was used for only two hours against India, and when he was brought back, Pakistan had already lost the match.
Alam has further written that Imran Khan’s arrival before India game may have been good for morale boost, but his advises were unimplementable as he is an old cricketer and does not compete with modern requirements.
