Operation against protestors at D-Chowk approved

ISLAMABAD: Senior Superintendent Police Sajid Kayani would lead an operation against the Qadri protesters currently holding D-Chowk hostage in Islamabad.

Operation would be used as a last resort in the early hours of the night due to strict irrational demands from the protesters. More than 400 protesters have already been arrested however protesters are equipped with sticks and stones.

Government officials are trying to negotiate with the protesters however for past two days protesters are using abusive language towards journalists, society and different politicians. More than 7,000 Punjab Police, Islamabad Police and Frontier Constabulary personnel are ready to carry out operation against the protesters.

Protesters have been abusing journalist and showed hostile behavior towards police personnel and common citizens. They have their own security protocol and they have now invited media personnel to listen to their demands.

Almost 15,00 protesters are still present with several high profile uluma who have been leading the protests and instigating emotions among the attendees.

Protesters are present near sensitive government buildings including Constitution Avenue, Parliament House, Diplomat Enclave among other buildings.
