Despite NZ lose, Pakistan can still qualify for semi-final

MOHALI: Pakistan had another bad day in the field as they lost to New Zealand by 22 runs in a thrilling game of cricket at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh.

But for those who are wondering whether their team is still in the tournament or not, we have a good news for them.

Pakistan, despite this 22-runs defeat, can still qualify for the semis a they are still second on points table of Group-2 with the run rate of + 0.254.

If Pakistan wins their game against Australia with a good margin, and then India lost to Australia, Pakistan can qualify for the semi-finals as their run-rate is way better than India ( – 0.895).

Pakistan will face Australia on March 25, 2016.
