KOLKATA: After facing bundle criticism from local media, Pakistan top order has finally begun to produce results just at the right time.
Pakistan batting lineup had been in enormous pressure after a poor run in Asia Cup 2016, but fortunately clicked at the right time as it is just the first game for them in ICC WT20 2016.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan hardly managed to scored 130 against similar bowling line in Asia Cup 2016.
Pakistan were 26 for 1 when Hafeez joined Shehzad on the crease, the duo added 96-run partnership for the second wicket which is also a record partnership for Pakistan in T20s.
Ahmed Shehzad, while trying to clear the fence ended up in the hands of the field on mid wicket. He scored 52 off just 29 balls, leaving Pakistan 121/2.
Hafeez was next to complete his half-ton on 36 balls.
Pakistan are currently 163/2 with hafeez (64) and Afridi (26) on the crease.
