Chief selector Pakistan team Haroon ur Rasheed visits Salman Butt’s home

LAHORE: Chief selector Pakistan cricket team Haroon ur Rasheed met tainted left-handed batsman Salman Butt on his residency.

Pakistan Cricket Board ( PCB) will make changes in team before March 8 for upcoming mega event of International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 Cricket World Cup 2016.

Haroon ur Rasheed met Salman Butt on dinner at residency of left-handed batsman. According to report on aired on Geo News, Haroon Rasheed gave him green signal for cricket world cup and also hinted for captaincy of Pakistan team.

Only change in WT20 squad, confirmed by chief selector Haroon Rasheed so far, is Ahmed Shehzad in for Khurram Manzoor.

Earlier, Pakistan cricket team head coach Waqar Younis has denied the rumors of opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad being calle up for World Twenty20.

Waqar, while responding to a query in the presser after Sri Lanka match stated, :Ahmed Shehzad hasn’t been called up as per my understanding, but I’m worng person to ask. You should ask Haroon Rasheed.”

Waqar was distressed over heavy criticism after Asia Cup disaster and demanded a role in selection committee.

“If the coach is being criticised for team performance then he should be part of the selection committee.” lashed Waqar in respond to question about his role in current performance of Pakistan team.
