MELBOURNE: Indian batsmen showed brilliant performance with bat again and put mammoth total for Kangaroos in the second Twenty20 match of the series on Friday at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia.
Batting first Indian team set total of 184 runs for Australia to win the match and save the series. Indian openers Sharma and Dhawan put 97 runs on scoreboard together.
Dhawan scored 60 and Sharma 42 runs and put India on front foot. Virat Kohli contributed 48 runs in team total.
Earlier, skipper of Australian team won the toss and elected to bowl first. Indian openers put 50 runs on score board in first six overs of the match.
Indian team is back on winning track after losing 4 consecutive One Day Internationals (ODI) and with their brilliant performance in first clash they are eyeing to win the series against the Kangaroos.
