PESHAWAR: At least 10 people are killed and 20 others are injured in huge blast near Karkhano checkpost in Peshawar on Tuesday, TheNewsTribe.com reported.
Several people are injured in the poor incident while security forces have cordon off the site and all the injured have been shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex, Peshawar.
According to police, casualties could mount due to the blast since Kharkhano check-post is located in a crowded place. Most of the people in the area were involved in buying and selling of items. Sources also revealed a large number of security forces were also deployed in the area. Karkhano check-post lies on the Peshawar-Khyber Agency border, hence it is usually a crowded place.
Deceased people include one of the Line officer of Political administration, Nawab Shah, and one local journalist as well.
Many injured people are in very critical condition.
Fire erupted in many cars, vehicles after huge blast.
