Aus vs Ind – 1st ODI: India bite the dust at Perth, Sharma’s tone goes in vein

PERTH: Australian batsmen made the mammoth target of 309 runs too easy as host team won the first One Day International match of the by five wickets, TheNewsTribe.com reported. 

Both the openers Finch and Warner failed to gave a good start to Kangroos as Indian bowlers easily picked up the wickets. Finch lost his wicket after scoring eight runs while Warner left the crease after adding five runs in team total.

Palyer of the year Smith and experienced batsman Bailey showed brilliant batting skills and add 242 runs on score board together.

Smith missed 150-mark as he caught out at score of 149 runs. Bailey also managed to complete another ODI hundred and put his team on front foot.

Australian team chased the target in the last over with five wickets remaining. In the first inning of limited over game, Rohit Sharma showed his skills again as he put Australian team on back foot with classical inning.

Sharman played inning of 170 runs and remain unbeaten while Virat Kohli lost his wicket after scoring 91 runs. Indian team put 309 runs on score board in the limited 50-over game.

Hazlewood manage to gave early break through to his team as he took the wicket of left-handed Indian batsman Dhawan.

He scored only 9 runs and left the crease when Virat and Sharma rescued the team and put 201 runs on board together.

Faulkner took two wickets for his side. MS Dhoni was the man who won the toss and elected to bat first against the host team.
