Mohammad Hafeez, Azhar Ali forgive Amir

LAHORE: Pakistan One Day captain Azhar Ali and opening batsman Mohammad Amir met their tainted team mate Mohammad Amir over Cricket Board’s chairman Shahryar Khan’s request and forgave him for his past mistakes.

Mohammad Hafeez who had taken a hardline and refused to attend training camp with Mohammad Amir said he had nothing personal with the young lad but he had taken a stance to maintain his country’s integrity.

Mohammad Amir apologised both players individually for his past mistakes and affirmed to play for the country.

Both the players accepted Amir’s apology and forgave him.

Earlier, PCB chairman held meeting with ODI captain Azhar Ali and opening batsman Mohammad Hafeez on Friday evening, in which he got his eyes wet during the meeting.

Sources revealed that Azhar Ali agreed while Hafeez semi-agreed to attend the camp along with Mohammd Amir after Shahryar Khan assured them to eradicate their concerns.
