Kriti Sanon turns down Salman Khan’s Sultan

MUMBAI: Bollywood’s emerging actress Kriti Sanon has refused to sign contract with YRF for Sultan role; talks with her halted, Bollywoodlife.com reported.

The first schedule of Sultan has ended. The second might be delayed because no heroine has been signed for the part yet.

While YRF head honcho Aditya Chopra is still hoping that lead actor Salman Khan will agree to work with his protegée Parineeti Chopra, Khan has been very clear that he prefers Kriti Sanon, who was launched by his buddy Sajid Nadiadwala.

While negotiations between Adi and Salman for the heroine continue, Kriti has signed a couple of films, leaving her no free time for another film.

Parineeti, meanwhile, has transformed herself and put out pictures of her rough-and-tough avatar, not to mention an ultra-glamorous one. Even as this stalemate for the leading lady continues, it is now learnt that there is another problem.

Says an insider, “Even if Kriti gives them the dates they want, Adi has laid the condition that if she signs the film, she will have to sign up as a Yashraj talent.

The actors launched by the studio (Ranveer, Parineeti, Anushka, Vani) have to pay a percentage of their earnings from films and endorsements to the studio.

While newcomers are happy to sign this contract when they get launched by YRF, Kriti, who has already made a name for herself doesn’t think it is a fair offer. She would rather give up the film than take up Adi’s offer, which comes with this condition.”
