Mohammad Amir likely to miss New Zealand tour | TheNewsTribe.com

LAHORE: Pakistan’s left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Amir is all set to wear green shirt again but new hurdle emerged before the selection for Pakistan’s tour to New Zealand, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

Mohammad Amir showed brilliant performance in Pakistan domestic cricket tournament and Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan gave him green signal for a come back in international cricket but media reports revealed Mohammad Amir is facing visa problem due to punishment faced by him after spot-fixing case.

Earlier, National selector Kabir Khan threatened to resign if tainted fast-bowler Mohammad Amir is recalled to the Pakistan team.

According to a reliable source in the PCB, former pacer Kabir Khan has made it clear to chief selector Haroon Rasheed that he should be released from the selection panel if Amir is going to be recalled to the national side.

“Kabir has made this clear to the chief selector that if Amir is considered than he will not make a fuss but he should be released from his duties as national selector,” the source told PTI.

He said the chief selector had tried in vain to convince Kabir, who has also coached the Afghanistan team, to change his stance but to no avail.
