LAHORE: Senior bowler Umar Gul is back in contention after doing well in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (QAT) for HBL. Gul’s career has been plagued by a recurring knee injury but he seems to have finally overcome it.
Meanwhile, tainted fast bowler Mohammad and rookie left-arm pacer Rumman Raees have also been called up as well after impressing for Pakistan A against the English Lions in their five-match T20 series.
The main objective of the camp is to improve the players’ overall physical fitness and enhance their technical aspects in order to prepare them for upcoming international assignments.
The players who are engaged in the QAT Super Eight Round have been granted permission to play their domestic matches scheduled between December 20 and December 23, but have to join the camp no later than December 24.
