LAHORE: Punjab Police took a u-turn and claimed that famous stage actress Sobia Rana was murdered, TheNewsTribe.com learnt from media reports.
Police officials revealed that, postmortem report clarified that Sobia Rana’s death was not a suicide attempt and more clues will be found from the report.
Earlier, police said during the postmortem no torture marks were found on the body. “Deep marks of rope were visible around her neck… We have sent sample of body parts for forensic test,” a police official said.
The actress was found dead in her room and her family was initially reluctant to allow the officials to carry out medico legal formalities.
According to reports, Sobia Rana, who was performing at local stage for seven years, had an altercation with her sister also a stage actress, a day before her death.
