LAHORE: Director Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Ayesha Mumtaz has declared that rumours spread across social media are baseless that their department is working independently without any intervention from any politician, Indepthpakistan cited.
According to details, news on social media gone viral that Ayesha Mumtaz has been removed from her post as a Director Punjab Food Authority.
It went viral when Ayesha Mumtaz visited “Anhar Milk Factory” for inspection, which belongs to Hamza Shahbaz. Hamza stopped Ayesha Mumtaz where CM Punjab called her to CM office and took the charge of Punjab Food Authority from her.
Ayesha Mumtaz said that these all are just rumours, she is still working as a Director Punjab Food Authority. She said that “I have heard many rumours about the status of Punjab Food Authority being undermined by political influence and other elements.”
She further said “I am declaring that these rumours baseless and would like to reaffirm that Punjab Food Authority is working independently without any influence or intervention from any politician.”
“In addition there have been heavy criticism on the absence of posting the photos of raided restaurants. This has been done on the orders of high court and we respect the law in full capacity. Punjab Food Authority is working in its independent capacity to ensure quality food and public health” She said.
