Eid al Adha 2015: moon sighting committee meeting started in Pakistan

KARACHI: The meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan has started in Karachi  for sighting Zilhaj moon.

Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is chairing the moon sighting committee and it is being held at the main office of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) in Karachi, Pakistan.

Other members of the committee from other provinces and districts will join the meetings of their respective provincial, district moon sighting committees.

The zonal committee of Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) is also holding its meeting at building of Ministry of Religious Affairs, near General Post Office (GPO), Islamabad.

It is to be kept in mind that Eid al Adha will be celebrated on Thursday (September 24) in Saudi Arabia and all other gulf counties as the Zilhaj moon was not sighted on Sunday in Saudi Arab.
