Eid al Adha 2015: Ruet-e-Hilal committee to meet on Monday in Pakistan

KARACHI: The meeting of the Pakistan’s Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has been scheduled in Karachi on September 14, Monday, under the chairmanship of Mufti Muneebur Rehman for Eid-ul-Adha moon sighting in different parts of the country.

The central committee comprising representatives of all sects would take final decision of moon sighting after the meeting while the subordinate committees in zones will also meet at their respective zones.

Additionally, experts from Pakistan Meteorological Department and Pakistan Navy will also give their services for making final decision of Zil Haj moon sighting.

Several part of the country is experiencing hot and dry whether including Sindh and Balochistan provinces while picture is cloudy, however, suitable for moon sight via human eye.

Zil Haj month crescent likely to be sighted today and in accordance the Eid ul Adha 2015 will be celebrated on September 24.

The News Tribe’s special correspondent says that moon sighting will be possible within 41 minutes after the Sun sets on Sunday.

“The crescent is likely to be easily witnessed in Peshawar and Karachi cities,” the Met officials further said.

The event is celebrated in loving memory of Prophet Abraham or Ibrahim’s sacrifice of his son for the Sake of Allah. During the four days of celebrations, Muslims across the globe sacrifice animals and distribute the meat to needy persons to share the happines
