LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board has announced one-year, four categories central contract for players on Saturday, ThenewsTribe.com reported.
According to reports, 6 players including captains of all three formats have been awarded an A-category contract, while Younis Khan and Shoaib malik has also availed the same contract.
B Category inculdes Ahemd Shahzada, Saeed Ajmal, Asad Shafiq, Rahat Ali, Junaid Khan, Sarfraz Ahmed, Yasir Shah and Wahab Riyaz.
PCB has put Mohammed Irfan, Fawad Alam, Mohammed Rizwan, Haris Sohail, Anwer Ali, Shan Masood, Umer Akmal in C-category.
While, PCB has also announced D-category contracts for Sohaib Maqsood, Umer Amin, Babar Azam and Zulfiqar Babar.
It is pertinent to mention here that pace bowler Umar Gul has been ignored in central contract while off-spinner Saeed Ajmal succeeded to make place in central contract which is a sign that PCB is still considering him for upcoming series.
