LONDON: Former Pakistani all-rounder Azhar Mehmood warned English Ashes winning team against Pakistani spinner Yasir Shah and said he will be threat to them.
Azhar Mehmood who is currently playing county cricket in England said that England team is in full swing these days after winning Ashes against their rivals, Australia but Pakistani leg spinner will be a great threat to English Team in the upcoming series against Pakistan in United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In his column for Pakpassion.com, Azhar wrote no doubt England team is performing brilliantly these days and they have completely outclassed Australian side in ongoing Ashes series but despite of their performances in England Yasir Shah will be a clear difference between both sides in UAE.
He further added that England batsmen are not good players of spin bowling specially leg spin bowling so Yasir Shah can play key role deciding the result of series.
According to former all-rounder, “He [Yasir] will be the key for Pakistan. He’s been so impressive since his introduction to international cricket and is such an attacking bowler. Yasir has proved that he can handle the pressure, his confidence will be very high and he is now the leader of Pakistan’s spin attack.”
