ISLAMABAD: Spokesman Pakistan Army Major-General Asim Bajwa said that ground operations has been started in Shawwal, site in North Waziristan.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Pakistan Army has extended their ground operation in Shawwal, district of North Waziristan, which is the extension of operation Zarb-e-Azab.
ISPR spokesperson Major-General Asim Bajwa wrote on micro-blogging website twitter on Thursday that “Pakistan Army has started ground operations in Shawwal.”
Amy Chief General Raheel Sharif ordered to complete the operation Zarb-e-Azab as soon as possible and to make strong co-ordination and communication between Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Army to proceed this operation in efficient way.
It should be kept in mind that Pakistan Army started operation against terrorism on June 15, 2014 in North Waziristan, named it Operation Zarb-e-Azab now and they are have claimed that they have cleaned most of this area from terrorists and hopefully this area will be completely safe place to live in very soon.
According to stats, so far, 2783 terrorists have been killed and 347 Pakistan Army officer and soldiers have embraced martyrdom in this operation during one year.
