KARACHI: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Asad Umar has demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to sack his cabinet member Mushahidullah Khan over leveling ‘false allegations’ against former Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG ISI).
“If the allegation against DG ISI was false at the very least the minister should be sacked from his job and thrown out of the party,” Umar wrote on a micro-blogging website. The PTI leader said that the Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif had also accused the former DG ISI of being involved in “treasonous conspiracy”.
“The prime minister has to take a clear stand. If he agrees with his ministers he should order action against those who conspired,” he said.
“If the DG ISI was actually involved, he and his accomplices…civil or military….should be tried for treason,” Umar added.
