LAHORE: Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan finally revealed that she plans to become a mother.
Kareen in a recent interview with website Bollywoodlife.com, seems to be on a high these days. The Bollywood actress and Kapoor scion’s latest film Bajrangi Bhaijaan has struck a chord with audiences not only in India but Pakistan as well and has amassed close to Rs 300 crore at the box office.
The Bollywood beauty, it seems is in no hurry to have children and seems focused on performing in more performance-driven Bollywood flicks.
Speaking to the Indian website Bollywoodlife.com, Kareena Kapoor Khan spoke at length regarding how she wanted to be a mother, but not at the moment. “Not right now. I am not ready. And you know me. Until I am ready, I won’t do anything. Two years from now, I’ll be a mom.”
When asked whether 40 will be too late an age for Kareena Kapoor to have a kid, the Bollywood actress stated that she was not worried as having kids at that age was possible and that she had everything figured out.
“Arrey, women have children at 40. I’ve a long way to go. I will definitely have my own children. I’ve always done what I wanted to. I wanted to be a star-actor, then I wanted to get married, have a home. I’ll be a mother. And I’ll continue to act,” said Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Ever since her marriage to actor Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor has always been cordial and friendly with Saif Ali Khan’s children but has not yet had any with Saif Ali Khan. Speaking on the subject, Kareena also shed some light on her relationship with Saif Ali Khan’s children.
“Now I enjoy having his family and mine over for meals. I love it when Sara and Ebrahim come over. I keep calling them to come over. But they don’t visit us as often as I’d like them to. They have their own social circle,” said Kareena.
Kareena was also asked as to who of Saif’s children was she more close to, Sara or Ebrahim.
“Sara, because she’s now a grown up girl. We share a lot of girlie stuff. Both the children are so well brought up. Full credit to their mom.”
Kareena Kapoor also spoke as to how Saif had been a wonderful husband and lets her have her own way at times.
“We’ve been married three years. I’ve matured with this relationship. I’ve become a mature woman after marriage. I’ve become more responsible towards my family. At the same time, he allows me to fly. Whether I want to do an item song or I want to go on a holiday with my female pals, he is all for it. He says I should do what I like. I plan to go to Barcelona with my female friends after Balki’s film.”
