PEMRA directs TV channel to telecast national anthem daily morning

 

ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) took a unique step to promote patriotism.

According to details, PEMRA issued notification to all private TV channels to broadcast national anthem in the morning.

PEMRA also advised all TV channel to telecast healthy programs for children. PEMRA in a statement said that  “there is no serious focus on children programming and only couple of foreign channels are presently catering to this need.”

PEMRA also raised serious concern over commercial shows telecast during the month of Ramadan.

“Such programmes were not only lamented by legislators but also by a large number of people who believed that the programmes were against the norms and violate the sanctity of Ramazan,” statement said.
