South African pacer Dale Steyn completes 400 Test wickets

DHAKA – Dale Steyn completed 400 wickets in Test cricket and became the second South African bowler to take 400 Test wickets.

Dale Steyn achieved this milestone after he dismissed Bangladeshi opener in the second Test match of two match series at Dhaka.

He became the second South African, and 13t bowler in the world to complete 400 Test wickets.

Former South African Test cricketer, Shaun Pollock completed the  400 wickets in 2008. He is leading South African wicket taker so far with 421 Test wickets.

“To take 400 test wickets is something that is extremely special,” South Africa captain Hashim Amla told reporters in Chittagong.

He joined the 400 Test wicket club with two other currently active cricketers, Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and England paceman James Anderson.

He just need 14 wickets to surpass Pakistani pacer Wasim Akram. Wasim Akran took 414 wickets in his Test career.
