Pakistan vs Sri Lanka: Host team beat Pakistan in second ODI

PALLEKELE –  Sri Lankan team beat Pakistan in second One Day International (ODI) of five match series on Wednesday at Pallekeke.

Sri Lanka beat Pakistan in second ODI by two wickets and leveled the series by 1-1. Perara scored 68 and Dilshan scored 47 runs.

Pakistan team showed brilliant fielding but Perera’s inning snatched the game from Pakistan. Rahat Ali picked three wickets and Mohammad Hafeez took two wickets.

Sri Lankan opener gave flying start to his team.

Sri Lankan team scored 54 runs in just 4 overs courtesy Perera’s great batting. He scored back to back boundaries to Pakistani fast bowlers including tally fast bowler Mohammad Irfan.

Batting first Pakistan team put 287 runs one board. Skipper of Pakistan cricket team scored 79 runs in the second One Day International match of the five series. Azhar Ali remain top scorer for his side.

 Ahmed Shehzad left the cease just after scoring 30 runs. Shoaib Malik also scored fifty in quick time. In last session of game, young batsman Mohammad Rizwan played a great inning and turned the game for Pakistan.

He scored fifty in just 36 balls. Rizwan out for 52 runs.

Pathirana sent back two batsmen to pavilion. Mathews took one wicket. Malinga also garbed two wickets.
