NAB cases against PML-N leaders were politically motivated: Pervaiz Rashid

ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Pervaiz Rashid, said that NAB cases against PML-N leaders were politically motivated, on Tuesday.

Federal Minister while talking about the latest NAB report, he remarked that cases were aimed to harm the image of Pakistan Muslim League-N.

He also said that charges against the leaders of PML-N could not be proven on any forum.

“Cases against the leaders of PML-N were politically motivated,” he added. He also told that former president General (rtd.) Pervez Musharaf perused political vendetta against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.

While talking to media person, he said that Musharaf regime cases are baseless and founded. “Dictator instituted cases just to buy political loyalties.

Earlier, the National Accoutability Bureau (NAB) on Tuesday submitted its report on Tuesday regarding the 150 mega corruption cases in Supreme Court.

Media reports revealed that NAB has accused current Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif of illegal appointments in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

According to media sources, the names of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf are also included in the list of people who were involved in mega corruption scandal of rental power houses.

The NAB report also includes a case against Former President and Co-Chair Person of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Asif Ali Zardari.

Report suggested that Asif Zardari built an illegal assets of worth Rs. 170 billion.

Moreover, Former chief minister of Balochistan, Nawab Aslam Raisani is also mentioned in the report.
