Najam Sethi vows to return Rs.7 million to Shoaib Akhtar

LAHORE –  Najam Sethi met with the former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar and discussed about the 7 million fine imposed by Pakistan Cricket Board in 2008.

Head of Pakistan Cricket Board executive committee, Najam Setthi promised to return the huge amount of fine soon. Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was finned by Pakistan Cricket Board in 2008 on disciplinary grounds.

Earlier, The Lahore high court announced decision in the favor of former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar, who was fined by Pakistan Cricket Board in 2008. PCB banned for five years and seven million rupees fine for violating players code of conduct.

Pakistan Cricket Board deducted the amount seven million rupees from Shoaib Akhtar Akhtar’s annual earnings, including his central contract payments and match fees.

Lahore high court declared the punishment and fine impeached by PCB illegal.
