Cricket to become a ‘Next Generation Game’ during ICC Champions Trophy 2017

ISLAMABAD – Cricket game will be shifted to next generation during ICC Champions Trophy 2017 as most of the senior players got retirement from International cricket.

Many legends of cricket world said good-bye to international cricket in a quick time after one another, specially from One Day International (ODI) game.

After previous cricket world cup so many star players got retirement from ODI cricket. Players like Shahid Khan Afridi, Misbah ul Haq from Pakistan, Mahela Jawardene and Kumar Sangakkara from Sri Lanka, Michael Clarke from Australia, Daniel Vettori, Kyle Mills from New Zealand announced retirement after Cricket World Cup 2015.

Not only their fans but cricket will also miss these players. These players not only served their countries but also served cricket game.

It is in the history of cricket that every player wants to leave cricket after trying his luck and skills for the last time in the mega event of cricket and but only few players able to achieve their goals.

In the history of cricket, there were few players who left cricket as a champions. Pakistani legendary player and captain, Imran Khan also announced retirement after the winning cricket world cup 1992.

Middle order batsman former Test captain, Younis Khan also left the T20 format of cricket just after winning the T20 world cup in 2009. Australian captain, Michael Clark also one of those, who announced retirement after the lifting world cup trophy.

Now, most of the teams are playing with young blood. In next ICC Champions Trophy, team will play with fresh and young players. Even Pakistan team will look completely change. Including captain Azhar Ali, young players will fight for a big title. Players like Hammad Azam, Umar Akmal, Babar Azam, Anwer Ali, Yasir Shah will be part of team.
