ISLAMABAD – Chairman Tehrik-i-Insaf, Imran Khan, in a series of fiery tweets on his official Twitter account on Friday accused Punjab Government of using police for their political objectives.
The PTI chief questioned the police’s actions and whether traffic violations warrant such a reaction. He claimed that his nephews were mistreated “because of who they are”.
Imran said that he will pursue this case to expose the Punjab government which, he alleged, is using its police force for political victimization.
Earlier, an FIR was lodged by traficc police personnel against two nephews of Chairman PTI Imran Khan and both young men were arrested in accusation of torturing police warden of Lahore.
Police claimed that Imran Khan’s nephews Azam Khan and Abdullah Khan had violated the traffic signal on mall road, when stopped by traffic warden, both Khans tortured the warden.
