Investigative agencies’ report on China-cutting leaked

KARACHI:  National Accountability Bureau (NAB) along with investigative agencies has started investigation into land grabbing and china cutting and maintaining a union-council-wise report, in Karachi.

According to leaked details, most plots were cut in Surjani Town and Korangi industrial area, moreover Lanhdi, Gulistan e Johar and Malir areas are also enlisted for chin-cutting,

The report claims that 1000s of plots cut and sold only in Landhi and kornagi and hundreds of people were killed for land-grabbing.

Earlier, Sindh Rangers arrested 5 officers of Sindh Building Control Authority on the charges of land grabbing and china cutting.

The arrested officers grabbed 1,200 plots under the pretext of acquisition for Lines Area and Redevelopment project and later sold it to land mafia and builders without following due process.

The total cost of the grabbed land amounted to 4 billion 500 million rupees.
