ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf announced to organised fresh intra-party polls after local body elections.
PTI established central election commission led by Tasneem Nawaz. According to details, inspection process of 7 million voters is underway.
Tasneem Nawaz has been appointed as Chief Election Commissioner. Feroz Khan from Sindh and General (retd) Taj from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been appointed as provincial Chief Election Commissioner.
Names of CEC from Balochistan and Punjab not announced yet.
Party’s central election commission will monitor all the activities. Tasneem Nawaz will announced the final date of intra-party election after the fasting month of Ramadan.
Few days ago Justice(retd) Wajihuddin Ahmad expelled the senior leaders of PTI, Pervez Khattak, Jehangeer Tareen and other from party for organizing rigged intra-party election.
In response, Imran Khan said that no one had the authority to defame any senior member of the party, adding that Justice(r) Wajihuddin Ahmad was running the tribunal in a manner Iftikhar Chaudhry had been running the Supreme Court.
Chief Minister Khyber PakhtunKhwa, Pervez Khattak said that Wajihuddin Ahmad had lost his memory therefore he did not care to the verdict by the PTI election tribunal.
