Shazia Murri Breaks her Silence

ISLAMABAD – Shazia Murri, Member of the National Assembly (MNA) from the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) said Friday, during the session of  the national assembly, that female parliamentarians were not given developmental funds.

She said that the President of the country was spending huge sum of money on foreign trips without any sense of purpose, adding that the last year the President of Pakistan had spent about 250 million on foreign trips.

Sources said that during the national assembly session Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) members of the parliament, once again staged a walkout protest in the wake of the remarks made by Khawaja Asif against Muhajirs.

The MQM parliamentarians were of the opinion that they had been protesting from the past three days but no one from the government quarters was hearing their cries, adding that government did not pay heed to their concerns.
