GALLE – Sri Lankan team scored 178 runs at the lost of three wickets against Pakistan in their first inning of Galle test on Thursday at Galle International Stadium.
While Batting first, host team manage to get a good start courtesy Kumar Sangakkara and JK Silva’s responsible . Kumar Sangakara who is playing his last home series, scored fifty and fell the victim Pakistani aggressive paceman Wahab Riaz.
JK Silva scored 80 runs and still on the pitch along with Mathews. Pakistan’s fast bowler Wahab Riaz took two wickets and Mohammad Hafeez sent back one batsman.
In morning, Pakistani skipper Misbah ul Haq won the toss and elected to bowl first.
The first day game of Galle test between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was spoiled due to the heavy rain.
Umpires officially called off the game of first day after inspection. Out filed and pitch remain covered whole first day.
According to details next four days play will begin 15 minutes earlier, with the middle session extended by another 15 minutes each remaining day.
