Rain delays toss in Galle

GALLE – Heavy early-morning rain has delayed the toss and the start of the first test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in Galle.

Covers are still on at the Galle International Stadium as heavy rain lashed the ground in the morning. Sri Lanka and Pakistan are due to play three tests, followed by five one-day international matches and two Twenty20 matches.

Galle has been getting rains daily, but those have mostly been at night-time. However, the occasional interruption can be expected during the match hours as well.
